VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT Pyrethrum Commercial Farming Development Officer. Location: Iringa, Tanzania PCT owns and operates a pyrethrum processing factory in Mafinga, Mufindi District, Iringa region, Tanzania; and is in the Pyrethrum business including pyrethrum farming and processing, in Tanzania and is a subsidiary of McLaughlin Gormley King Company (MGK), a leading global producer and marketer for Pyrethrum products. PCT is seeking to fill the position of Pyrethrum Commercial Farming Development Officer reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The primary purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to support and develop emerging commercial farmers in to grow pyrethrum in accordance with best practices in growing, harvesting and drying pyrethrum in order to maximize yield and quality of pyrethrum and to offer training and support in farm administration activities. Scope and Impact: The pyrethrum commercial farming development officer will contribute to the development of the farming community by helping farmers to increase pyrethrum productivity in order to maximize income earned from pyrethrum production.
